From a small but select offering, the Tattersalls Online Breeze-Up Session boasted a 93% clearance rate for the 14 lots sold. The top price achieved was a 30,000gns Ardad colt, consigned by John Bourke's Hyde Park Stud and sold to Tylicki Bloodstock. Ironically, the Ardad colt is a half-brother to Iriseach (Ubettabelievit), something of a flag-bearer for this sale given he was Grade 3-placed in America after being sold by Hyde Park Stud through the platform 12 months ago. Tattersalls Online Sales Manager, Katherine Sheridan said, “The Online Breeze Up Session has established itself as an important fixture in the calendar and we were delighted to see such strong demand for these two-year-olds. The 30,000gns paid for the Ardad colt reflects the confidence buyers have in the quality of horses being offered and it was particularly pleasing to see a half-brother to Iriseach top the session.”She added, “Graduates such as Iriseach and Fiona Maccoul have demonstrated the calibre of horse that can be sourced through the session and it is encouraging to see buyers continuing to embrace the format. To sell 14 of the 15 juveniles offered is a tremendous result for our vendors and we would like to thank them, together with all purchasers, for their continued support.”The Breeze-Up Session formed part of the general Tattersalls Online June Sale, which realised turnover of 616,500gns.
