The image is used for representative purposes only. | Photo Credit: ARRANGEMENTA 26-year-old man was rescued after being trapped inside a lift at the Uppal Skywalk near the Uppal metro station on Thursday night.The man, identified as Katravath Rahul, a native of Hanwada in Mahabubnagar district, is employed with a private company and resides at a men’s’ hostel in Uppal.According to the police, the incident was reported around 11.35 p.m. when Rahul was returning from work and became trapped inside lift 6B at the skywalk.Following an alert, personnel from the Police, Disaster Response Force (DRF) and Fire department rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation. A lift technician was subsequently called to the site and the lift was opened, enabling rescue teams to safely evacuate the youngster after nearly two hours.No injuries were reported in the incident. The cause of the lift malfunction is yet to be ascertained.Katravath Rahul after the rescue operation.Speaking to the media after the rescue, Mr. Rahul broke down in tears and described the distress he experienced during the ordeal.
