Lasengle warns that it will release an update in mid-June 2026 that will update the game engine of Fate/Grand Order to Unity 6. You will have approximately 30 GB of game data to download if you are downloading everything at once. According to the statement on the official Fate/Grand Order news page, you will have to download about 16 GB of additional data if you downloaded all the data prior to the update. This is something you can turn on or off in the settings. If this is your first time downloading all the data, there will be about 30 GB of game data to download, and it may take over 30 minutes if there are a lot of people accessing the server at the same time. Lasengle also reminds players to make sure there is enough storage space in their phone for the update. Many players have expressed frustration at how large Fate/Grand Order will become after this. Currently, there is no official way to play the game on anything other than a mobile device, meaning that players have to use either their phone or tablet. However, between the game engine update and the ballooning size of the app, many are asking Lasengle to release a PC version, especially with more and more mobile games that also demand plenty of gigabytes. Fate/Grand Order is readily available on mobile devices. The Unity 6 update for Fate/Grand Order will come out for the Japanese server in mid-June 2026.
