I mean, I would actually prefer that to hold music. Apple support (I think) gives you a couple different musical genres or silence to choose from when you’re on hold. I usually choose silence. I worked in customer service long enough to have most companies’ hold music memorized, so the silent option is wonderful. Even so, that phrasing from the call you described is WILD.
