Its not really about the degree, its the fact she is SO close to being done. As someone who thrives to achieve goals I can't imagine being so close to attaining one only to find its not going to happen. I have hit many walls in life which is why I hope she finds a way... And yup, my comment centered around doing the numerous suggestions people gave her in the comments.
