For background information, I experienced sharp pain around my right lower abdomen in early 2025 and went to the doctor. MRI results showed that I have adhesions around my right ovary. Nothing else was out of the ordinary. No intense, classic endo symptoms. Pain during periods are manageable with painkillers. My cycles barely last 2-3 days, so no prolonged periods either. Gynaec was not concerned, said that it "might be endometriosis", but told me there's no need for surgery. Cut to this year, I got into my first serious relationship, and became sexually active. Post-coitus, I've noticed two weird symptoms: 1) Low-intensity aches in my lower belly which last for a few hours after sex and then disappear 2) Extremely intense UTI-like symptoms (urgency to pee, constantly going to the washroom but peeing only a few drops, pin-like pricking pain in my urethra and bladder) I got urine routine examination done. The results were completely normal. I had taken a couple of doses of antibiotics before giving the sample the next day, because the pain was too bad. My partner also got tested, his results were normal too. Now I'm confused. Did i actually have a UTI, but the results were negative because of the antibiotics? Or is this because of endo (or maybe interstitial cystitis)? Any leads would be extremely helpful, thank you! submitted by /u/SeasonInside9957 [link] [comments]
