There’s a new Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom and the Guide of Memories trailer and site that introduce the first four major characters and introduce gameplay elements. The amnesiac Karia will be joined on her journey under Aladiss by previous protagonist Yumia Liessfeldt and at least two other associates. This new lead will also be unique in that she will eat items to recover memories, change her appearance, and gain new skills. The characters in Atelier Karia are Aladiss Pioneering Team members. Karia needed money when she joined, but discovered alchemy and the items she makes with it can help her remember who she is and what happened in her past. Meanwhile, two years after her own adventure, Yumia is now working alongside Karia to chart these new discoveries and help her with her unique nature. They’re joined by the knight Fina Rozen, who works on an assignment from her commander tied to the duo’s adventure. Servio Lektor rounds out the initial four reveals, and he’s an odd biologist that is hiding secrets in his own past. The official profiles for all four individuals feature scratched out, apparently “redacted” sections to hide some intentions. You can see all of the first Atelier Karia characters in the newest trailer below. Things start with a look at Karia and hints at how eating different items help her learn more about her past. We also see how that allows her to use abilities like generate snow balls she can climb in the world. Items she creates can also be used to destroy or affect the environment to access new areas. Servio is introduced after that, and we then see a quick peek at Fina. Yumia is the fourth to be revealed. Atelier Karia: The Night Kingdom & the Guide of Memories will be on the Switch 2, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC via Steam in early 2027.
