Veteran filmmaker Bharathiraja has passed away. Tamil Nadu Governor, Chief Minister M K Stalin, and other prominent leaders have offered their condolences. Bharathiraja was known for his unique storytelling and portrayal of rural life. He received national and state honours for his work. State honours will be accorded to him. His death is considered a great loss to Tamil cinema.
