The Population and Immigration Authority announced Tuesday that approximately 86,500 new foreign workers have entered Israel since the outbreak of the war on October 7.The leading sector in worker recruitment is the construction industry, which has absorbed 42,744 new workers. The main countries of origin are India, Sri Lanka, and Thailand.
