His wife, Naseem Solanki, contested the subsequent bypoll on a Samajwadi Party ticket and won the seat.In a video that surfaced on social media on Tuesday, Solanki can purportedly be heard saying, “This is victory of justice.”Government counsel Bhaskar Mishra said the last case in which Solanki secured bail was filed under the UP Gangster ActIn November 2022, Irfan Solanki, his brother Rizwan Solanki and others were booked by the Kanpur police for allegedly harassing a woman and setting her house on fire to seize her land in the posh Defence Colony area of Kanpur.
