Next Galaxy Book lineup could solve your biggest issue with the touchpad

Samsung’s Galaxy Book laptops boast impressive features, from fluid OLED screens to powerful audio. However, one aspect that has drawn criticism is the touchpad layout. Fortunately, Samsung may be preparing to address this with its next lineup.Future Galaxy Books will have a centered touchpad layoutCurrent Galaxy Books with 15-inch or larger displays include a dedicated number pad. Because the touchpad is positioned directly under the spacebar, it ends up being off-center. Many users, ourselves included, find this layout uncomfortable as it forces the hands to shift left while typing. However, we’ve heard that future Galaxy Books may drop the number pad altogether. In that case, the spacebar and touchpad would finally be centered, unlike on current 15- or 16-inch Galaxy Books. This change should improve typing ergonomics while also creating a cleaner, more balanced design, similar to laptops from Apple and other brands. This was one of the changes we suggested in our Galaxy Book 6 wishlist, and it seems likely to arrive on the Galaxy Book 6 Pro and Galaxy Book 6 Ultra, both of which will come in 16-inch versions. It was also recently revealed that these laptops will feature larger batteries. Hopefully, Samsung will complement these upgrades with other improvements, such as a brighter OLED display, the latest Intel and Qualcomm chips, and a higher-resolution webcam with autofocus. The post Next Galaxy Book lineup could solve your biggest issue with the touchpad appeared first on SamMobile.
