According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film’s India net collection on day 1 was Rs 9.25 crore. While it’s no Kantara or War 2, this is a decent start for the Varun Dhawan and Janhvi Kapoor-starrer.Helmed by Shashank Khaitan, who directed Varun in Badrinath Ki Dulhaniya and Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhaniya, and Janhvi in Dhadak, the film had already been kneecapped the moment the reviews started pouring in. Many complained that the romantic comedy didn’t present anything fresh for the audience. Janhvi Kapoor would still be glad with this opening day performance, as it is higher than that of her previous film, Param Sundari.ALSO READ: Alia Bhatt has been preparing Raha’s 18th birthday gift since the day she was born; Kajol hints it has a Kuch Kuch Hota Hai connectionAlso featuring Sidharth Malhotra, Param Sundari opened to similarly mixed reviews, and only earned Rs 7.25 crore on its opening day.
