Walt Disney World Resort is renovating one of its Mickey Mouse-themed gift shops, Maestro Mickey’s at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort. The Central Florida Disney destination first announced this overhaul in July, and hotel guests are beginning to notice some changes.Disney’s All-Star Music Resort is one of a trio of Value Resort hotels at Walt Disney World Resort. It opened a few months after Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort in 1994, and Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort followed in 1999. Disney’s Pop Century Resort, another Value Resort hotel, has already debuted its updated food court and gift shop, and lobby renovations are currently wrapping up. At Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, crews are constructing the Deluxe Resort hotel’s first-ever lobby bar, inspired by the ornate metal birdcage that originally stood in its place. Stanchions and barricades recently appeared in the lobby of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, suggesting more upcoming work.In July, Walt Disney World Resort announced that Disney’s All-Star Music Resort would be the next hotel to undergo renovations: this time, crews would work on the Mickey Mouse-themed gift shop in the lobby, Maestro Mickey’s.“From August 4 through mid-October 2025, Maestro Mickey’s located at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort will undergo a phased refurbishment,” the official Walt Disney World Resort website warns guests booking their stays. “During this time, the store will remain open. Similar to the recent BouTiki renovation at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, crews are working in phases, closing down sections of Maestro Mickey’s while leaving the rest of the store open for Walt Disney World Resort guests.As of October 2, Disney cast members have installed new flooring in much of Maestro Mickey’s. According to WDWNT, the old geometric-patterned carpet (visible in the photo below from X user @TheLeisureProf) has been replaced with light and medium honey oak vinyl planks.
