A couple have shared a chilling moment on TikTok after a stranger showed up at their door carrying what appears to be some sort of weapon. The worst part is that the man who posted the video revealed that his fiancée was home alone at the time meaning he could do nothing but watch in horror through the door camera. Jer, AKA “confused_millennial” shared the terrifying clip which shows a sinister looking man with a rucksack on his back arriving on the couple’s porch. He knocks aggressively on the door and appears to be carrying some sort of weapon in his hand, it looks like a small pick or hammer. He continues to bang on the door but thankfully the fiancée doesn’t answer the door. However, it’s terrifying to think about what could have happened had she answered to this man. @confused_millennial I don’t want to think about what could’ve happened if she opened the door. For once I’m so grateful for technology and so grateful that I installed this camera before I went to work. This is a grim reminder to be very cautious opening your door to strangers. We have no idea who this man is but one thing is clear. He came with violent intentions. According to Jer, they did not know the man. At the end of the video the man can be heard saying what sounds like “that’s what I thought John.” Maybe he’s looking for someone in particular and has simply landed at the wrong address. He then walks away, mumbling expletives to himself. Has the stranger been apprehended? Luckily they were able to capture footage of the man and they were quick to call the authorities. Jer confirmed in another video that the suspect had been detained. However, he is less than reassured by this as he claims that the authorities will more than likely release him because it’s happened before. According to him, the man has been arrested in the past for going around with a large knife, knocking on random people’s doors, and threatening to kill them. Unfortunately he’s always been released pretty quickly despite the potential threat he poses. “He gets released every single time,” Jer tells skeptical viewers, “doesn’t get any psychiatric help, doesn’t get any mental health help… doesn’t get anything.” He suspects that, after the stranger’s court date, he will be back out and Jer fears he will once again pose a threat to him and his fiancée as well as other people. In this case the couple are thankful for their door camera which potentially saved their lives. While there are plenty of horror stories about such cameras being hacked, situations like this could actually prevent crimes from occurring and even help catch the criminals. Jer hopes that the man’s previous weapons charges will be enough to keep him inside and possibly get the help he clearly needs. Either way, hopefully he doesn’t show back up on their porch anytime soon.
