With the federal government shutting down on October 1st, I built a simple live counter to track exactly how long this dysfunction has lasted. Features a flip-clock style timer counting up in days, hours, minutes, and seconds since midnight ET on Oct 1, 2025. Also includes historical context showing past shutdowns and their duration, and links to contact your representatives. Built with vanilla JS and hosted on CloudFront for speed.
