This comes hours after police said murder charges were added to the case registered to investigate the superstar singer’s death in Singapore, where he had gone as part of the Northeast India Festival.Garg, 52, died on September 19 after he went swimming while on a yacht outing in Singapore. The two musicians arrested Thursday were in Singapore with Garg for the festival and were part of the yacht outing, during which the incident took place, officials said. Subsequently, the CID registered a consolidated case under BNS sections pertaining to criminal conspiracy, culpable homicide not amounting to murder, and causing death by negligence. (ANI)Shyamkanu Mahanta and Siddhartha Sharma were arrested from Delhi airport and Gurgaon, respectively, by the Assam Police and brought to Guwahati on Wednesday morning. They were then remanded to 14 days’ police custody and have been questioned by the SIT.CID Special DGP M P Gupta, who is heading the SIT, said earlier on Thursday that an additional charge of BNS section 103, which pertains to murder, has been added to the case.“Both of their (Shyamkanu Mahanta’s and Siddhartha Sharma’s) interrogations have been ongoing since yesterday.
