Two held while selling heroin in Hyderabad

Two individuals from West Bengal were arrested by the Shamshabad District Task Force (DTF) on Thursday, August 7 during a routine inspection along the Khajaguda - Nanakramguda road. The officials seized 66 grams of heroin valued at approximately ₹2.5 lakh from the duo.The accused, identified as Md. Noor Akbar and Md. Ajit Mohin, both natives of Malda in West Bengal, had allegedly arrived in Hyderabad under the pretext of seeking work but were in fact attempting to sell heroin.Both individuals were taken into custody and the seized heroin was formally handed over at the Serlingampally excise station.Further investigation is underway.Published - August 07, 2025 09:27 pm IST
