(File photo)A 75-year-old South Mumbai resident lost her life in a road accident opposite the Sahyadri State Guest House in the Malabar Hill area on Tuesday.According to the police, the elderly woman, Neeta Nitin Shah, was fatally crushed between a stationary car and a Brihanmumbai Electricity Supply and Transport (BEST) electric bus heading towards Kamala Nehru Park when she had stepped out for her morning walk at 9.10 am.Authorities are examining CCTV footage and have begun formal inquiries into the incident to ascertain the sequence of events and underlying factors that contributed to the accident.According to police and initial eyewitness accounts, the bus coming from Vijay Vallabh Chowk stopped opposite Sahyadri Guest House after the driver heard a sudden cry. The driver got out of the bus to investigate and found that Shah had come in contact with the left rear tyre of the bus and sustained a grievous head injury.
