Cheryl Hines is now Team RFK Jr. – ‘trusts’ him after his sexting scandal with New York mag reporter

Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s life since he pivoted into politics has been marred by scandals, but the one that remained unaddressed was his alleged affair with a New Yorker journalist. Now RFK Jr. and his wife Cheryl Hines are finally responding, calling the entire debacle “low vibrational.” The two have assured anyone interested that they’re completely over it. RFK Jr. was exposed for having an affair with former New Yorker political reporter Olivia Nuzzi. Both Nuzzi and RFK Jr. were in long-term relationships when Nuzzi covered RFK Jr. as a potential candidate, but that didn’t prevent the two from engaging in an inappropriate romantic relationship which reportedly involved sexting. The publication ended up sending Nuzzi on leave for the lapse in judgment before she eventually left. The two allegedly engaged in a relationship later described as “digital in nature,” and while Nuzzi has repeatedly answered for the kerfuffle, all RFK Jr. said was that they only met once — and Hines never addressed the allegations at all. RFK Jr. and Hines sat down with The Wall Street Journal, and it seemed like the perfect opportunity to address the situation, but Hines managed to avoid it completely. According to People, Hines said, “I don’t think there’s any point to going through every rumor and headline to try to defend or explain it. Bobby and I talk about everything, so that’s how we move through everything, and we’re really good friends, and we trust each other.” RFK Jr. also responded to the allegations, saying, “There is no end, and if you get caught into responding to it then it drags you into low vibrations, and the trick is to try to stay in the high vibrations.” The two assured the public that the fact they’re still together should be enough proof they’ve moved past their issues and still love each other. Considering Hines was a longtime member of the cast of Curb Your Enthusiasm, her support of the MAGA movement, even in a secondary manner, obviously came up. It’s worth mentioning that the creator of Curb Your Enthusiasm, Larry David, has been very clear about his disdain for Trump and his leadership — even once comparing him to Adolf Hitler. Hines shared that she’s surprised her friends are disappointed and angry about her husband’s role in the MAGA movement, even mentioning that some people in her life refuse to talk about it. That genuinely all sounds like an arc that would fit right into Curb Your Enthusiasm. While Hines has previously been critical of her husband’s outrageous statements, she made it clear that not all of his mandates make her suspicious. Hines shrugged off her husband’s repeated and concerning anti-vaccine mandates by declaring that “Science is never done.” She even added that she’s willing to personally drink the dangerous raw milk championed by people who subscribe to MAHA. The Kennedy household seems to have found a semblance of normalcy after their controversy in a way both parties feel acceptable — by just ignoring what happened. Sadly, they also keep ignoring scientists’ takes on healthcare.
