Tottenham suffered a 4-0 defeat in their final pre-season clash ahead of the 25/26 season at the hands of Harry Kane’s Bayern Munich, and our player ratings are in.Tottenham player ratings vs Bayern Munich Guglielmo Vicario – The Italian shot stopper made some fine saves, but his defenders let him down, with mistakes and a lack of intensity in closing down their men, causing the team. 7.Pedro Porro – Bayern’s lethal play came from the left, as Porro did a good job against former Liverpool man Luiz Diaz. A goal did come from the right-hand side after a mix-up among several Tottenham players. 5.Cristian Romero – Tottenham’s defence was far from rock solid as Bayern looked to create chances at ease, and the Argentine could do little to prevent those chances. 4.Micky Van de Ven – The Dutchman should have done better for the second as he looked to back off until Coman cut in and let fly. 4.Djed Spence – Was easily dispossessed by Laimer, who laid it up to Coman for Bayern’s second. It was really poor from the full-back, who should have been a lot sharper. 4. Joao Palhinha – The Tottenham new man is still trying to get his match sharpness up, and his reckless lunge in the first half was proof of that. He was later taken off at half-time. 6.Photo by Christina Pahnke – sampics/Corbis via Getty ImagesRodrigo Bentancur – Bentancur looked to provide some dynamism in the first half from deep, with some driving runs into the attacking third. In the second half however, the midfield was easy to play through and often failed to apply pressure on Bayern’s players. 5.Mohammed Kudus – Not a day for Tottenham’s attackers as they were outplayed and made to defend constantly, but Kudus at least showed strength and flashes of life. 6.Pape Matar Sarr – After Bergvall was introduced to the tie in the second half, Sarr was pushed down to the pivot role, to support Bentancur. That switch did not help Tottenham keep things tight at the back, as they conceded three more in the second half. 4.Brennan Johnson – A poor outing for the wide forward who had no impact on things in the final third. He was replaced by Wilson Odobert. 4.Richarlison – The Brazilian looked to force the issue early on in the second half with a mazy run off the left, but it did not lead to an attempt on target. 5.SubstitutesLucas Bergvall – Came on for Joao Palhinha right at the start of the second half, with the Tottenham new signing only working his way to full fitness. 6.Mathys Tel – Came on for Richarlison and had little impact as Spurs struggled to create anything meaningful in the final third. 6.Ben Davies – Davies replaced Djed Spence after his mistake led to Bayern’s second. The Welshman was not threatened as much, with Bayern taking their foot off the gas. 5.Wilson Odobert – Odobert replaced Brennan Johnson, and his performance was similar to that of the Welsh international, as Spurs struggled to make an impact in the final third. 5.Archie Gray – The youngster replaced Pape Sarr.
