Samsung has finally released the One UI 7.0 update for the Galaxy A14 (4G LTE) with the MediaTek Helio processor in Europe. It is the second major Android OS update for the smartphone. The update was released for the Galaxy A14 4G and the Galaxy A14 5G in other markets a few weeks ago.Galaxy A14 4G LTE with MediaTek chip gets Android 15 and One UI 7.0 update in EuropeThe MediaTek Helio chip variant of the Galaxy A14 4G has finally received the Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update in Europe. The update comes with firmware version A145RXXUADYGC and has a download size of over 2.5GB. So, make sure to download the update only via a Wi-Fi network.The long-awaited update is now available in Croatia, Czechia, France, Ireland, Montenegro, Poland, Portugal, Serbia, Slovenia, and the UK. If you live in any of the countries mentioned here and have a MediaTek Helio G80 variant of the Galaxy A14 4G, you can now check for the One UI 7 update by navigating to Settings » Software update » Download and install. Once the update file is downloaded, tap the Install now button to start the installation process. Your phone will restart after a few minutes, once the installation process is finished.Samsung launched the Galaxy A14 4G in 2023 with Android 13 onboard. It received the Android 14-based One UI 6.0 update in late November 2023. The South Korean firm announced that the Galaxy A14 will get two major Android OS updates, so this is last major operating system update. It won't get the Android 16-based One UI 8 update.Galaxy A14 One UI 7.0 (Android 15) featuresThe update brings a revamped UI design, featuring smoother animations and transitions, a new battery charging animation, a new battery icon, new lock screen clock widgets, Large Folders on the home screen, and the ability to enable or disable app icon and widget labels. The update brings lots of new widgets for stock apps and new widget UI styling.It brings Now Bar, a UI element that displays ongoing activities, such as maps navigation, sports, scores, stopwatch, and timer. It appears on the lock screen, the notifications screen, and the status bar. The Camera app has received a newer and simpler UI that is easier to access using one hand.The Quick Panel and notifications have been split into two different screens. Notifications have bigger icons and they are stacked when there are multiple notifications from the same app. The Quick Panel, which is now a lot more customizable, includes the volume control slider.There are more battery health protection options. Game Booster has received a new UI and there are more presets for adjusting a game's performance. There is a Watch Again button in the built-in video player. Quick Share displays recommended devices and the option to continue sending files over the internet if a receiving device goes out of range.One UI 7 displays previews for minimized apps, allows better group alarm management, and offers more advanced options for Routines. Calendar and Reminders management has improved as well.
