(File Photo)A 33-year-old advocate died after he allegedly jumped from the roof of a four-storey building in Lajpat Nagar on Tuesday afternoon.Police said they received a PCR call at 1.20 pm, reporting that a person had fallen from the roof and an ambulance had not yet arrived. The Station House Officer (SHO) and a local police team immediately rushed to the spot.On reaching the location, officers found the man lying in a pool of blood on the road in front of a building in Lajpat Nagar 1, opposite the railway station crossing.The victim was declared dead at the scene, with preliminary assessment indicating that he had fallen from the terrace, said police.“The person worked as an advocate with the Municipal Corporation of Delhi, perhaps as their empanelled advocate. He is married and is survived by his wife. A suicide note was found in his pocket. Prima facie examination of the note suggests the handwriting matches that of the deceased, as identified by his wife. The note suggested that he was suffering from depression for a long time,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Hemant Tiwari.The body was shifted to AIIMS Trauma Centre by a CATS ambulance for further procedures, said police.
