A college group Mamdani co-founded publicly supported a terrorist later deported for hiding her involvement in deadly bombings, lying to U.S. authorities.By World Israel News StaffFar-left New York City mayoral candidate Zohran Mamdani was deeply active in an anti-Israel group that called for “justice” for a Palestinian terrorist, who was convicted of involvement in a series of deadly Jerusalem bombings. While studying at Bowdoin College in Maine, Mamdani co-founded the school’s chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine, an advocacy organization known for promoting pro-terror views and harassing Jews on college campuses. In 2014, while Mamdani in his senior year of college, the group posted “Justice for Rasmea Odeh” on Facebook. It’s unclear who authored it, but an account belonging to Mamdani “liked” the post.Odeh, a convicted terrorist, was found guilty in 1970 for her role in two terrorist bombings in Jerusalem that killed two Israeli civilians. She served 10 years in prison before being released as part of a prisoner exchange between Israel and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PLFP) terror group. In the 1990s, Odeh immigrated to the United States, where she intentionally concealed information about conviction and imprisonment on immigration forms.Had she disclosed her history, she would not have been granted legal authorization to enter and remain in the U.S. Odeh eventually gained American citizenship in 2004. After her true identity and terror activity was discovered by American authorities, she was convicted of immigration fraud. While she served no time in prison, her U.S. citizenship was revoked and she was deported to Jordan in 2017.“It is unthinkable that New York City would be led by someone who founded a chapter of Students for Justice in Palestine, an organization that glorifies jihadists and convicted terrorists like Rasmea Odeh,” Liora Rez, founder of StopAntisemitism said in a statement to the New York Post.“Where SJP goes, antisemitism, and often violence, follows. We don’t need that in America’s largest city.”The post Mamdani co-founded group that praised terrorist Rasmea Odeh appeared first on World Israel News.
