There is no point in expecting anything when it comes to other industries. The Prime Minister has shifted everything to Gujarat and visits Bihar only with empty slogans.”Congress spokesperson Gyan Ranjan Gupta also responded to the PM’s comments at the rally in Motihari in East Champaran district. “He promised Kashi (Varanasi) would become Kyoto. Where is that? In Bihar, there are, on average, 229 murders each month. Paper leaks are routine. The PM who couldn’t restart a single sugar mill now talks of making Motihari like Mumbai. The biggest promise is always a ‘jumla (empty slogan)’.”Earlier in the day, Congress and RJD workers in Motihari protested against the PM, saying he failed to keep his 2014 election campaign promise to revive the Motihari and Chanpatia sugar mills. In the town’s Gandhi Chowk area, the Opposition workers set up a stall serving “feeki chai (sugarless tea)”.Stay updated with the latest - Click here to follow us on Instagram© The Indian Express Pvt Ltd
