I knit and crochet and this is absolutely my pet peeve. People constantly underestimate how much labor goes into making something. I'm constantly asked to make things for free or yarn cost and for something this intricate and large, many hours would be spent making it. People seem to think since I can knit I don't mind spending all my waking hours painstakingly making them something for free.
