The terrorist was identified and arrested at the Kerem Shalom crossing.By Batya Jerenberg, World Israel NewsThe IDF arrested one of the truck drivers bringing humanitarian aid into the Gaza Strip after discovering that he was a Hamas terrorist who had participated in the October 7, 2023 invasion of Israel, Channel 14 reported Monday.Soldiers of the Gaza Division saw the man “acting suspiciously” at the Kerem Shalom crossing around noon.“They crosschecked what was happening on the ground with intelligence information they had previously received,” he said, “and took his ID card.”The terrorist’s picture matched that of one who had been involved in the terrorists’ raid of Kibbutz Ein Hashlosha, and he was transferred to the Israeli Security Service (Shabak) for questioning.Their quick action “may have prevented a terror attack on our forces,” Bitton Rosen said.In addition, security sources told the media outlet that the man could have made other runs like this into Gaza from Egypt through the aid crossing, and that “they suspect there could be more like him,” the reporter said.Activists who have protested for months against aid to Gaza with the argument that it only strengthens Hamas were furious at the news.“Now I feel more abandoned than ever before,” said Yael Savariego, the niece of Lior Rudaeff, who was murdered defending Kibbutz Nir Yitzhak during the invasion, and whose body is still being held in Gaza, said.“The State of Israel is failing to control this situation and is endangering everyone: hostages, soldiers and civilians,” charged the psychotherapist. She is active in the Tzav 9 movement, whose supporters have blocked aid trucks with their bodies in the belief that food, fuel and medicine should only enter the Strip in exchange for the return of all the hostages.“We must immediately close the crossings, stop the terrorist convoys,” Savariego said.Tzav 9 said the capture proved “to what extent the aid trucks are the fuel of the Hamas terrorist organization. The murderous terrorist who led the aid convoys, and like him thousands of Hamas terrorists who receive the aid directly into their hands, must stop receiving this ‘oxygen pipeline.’”Kibbutz Ein Hashlosha escaped relatively unscathed on October 7, although a group of Hamas fighters managed to slip by nearby IDF troops who stopped most of the terrorists from entering on the morning Israelis call “the Black Sabbath.”Four residents were murdered and many houses were set on fire, but no mass slaughter took place and none of the residents were taken hostage.Ein Hashlosha was also the target of a wave of Gazan civilians who rushed in after the terrorists in order to loot it.The post Gaza aid driver participated in October 7 massacre appeared first on World Israel News.
