Air India, global carriers confirm Boeing 787 fuel switches are safe

Air India completed precautionary inspections on the fuel control switch locking mechanism of its Boeing 787 fleet, finding no issues. Several other international airlines, including Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa, conducted similar checks with the same result. Air India also replaced Throttle Control Modules on its 787-8 aircraft as per the maintenance schedule, directing staff to remain vigilant for any defects.
