Abhijat Sheth becomes the new chairperson of the National Medical Commission. He succeeds Dr B N Gangadhar. Dr M K Ramesh is appointed president of the Medical Assessment Board. The Appointments Committee approved these appointments. Sheth currently heads the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences. He will continue in that role for a few months.
