If you’re visiting Disneyland Resort for the 70th anniversary, be careful! You just might end up with a ticket…On July 17, 2025, thousands of guests flocked to Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure Park to celebrate Disneyland Resort’s 70th birthday. Though most of the Disneyland70 celebrations began in May, the Southern California Disney parks reserved some festivities for its actual anniversary. The final song verse written by Richard Sherman was added to “it’s a small world” (and it’s Disneyland70 projection show, Tapestry of Happiness), and “Walt Disney – A Magical Life” debuted at the Main Street Opera House. One is the “Key to Disneyland” experience, which guests use at keyholes around the park lands until they unlock a mystery pin. But another interactive experience is leaving thousands of Disneyland Park guests with traffic tickets…Disney Park guests who own a MagicBand+ can unlock five Disneyland70-themed activations: Tilly’s Booth at Main Street Cinema, the Frontierland Booth at Silver Spur Supplies, the Fantasyland Window by Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, the Skipper Lockers at Jungle Cruise in Adventureland, and Autopia in Tomorrowland. But it’s the Autopia location that’s leaving guests with an unwanted citation!Credit: DisneyOn Thursday, X (formerly known as Twitter) user @ThemeParkIQ shared this video after interacting with the Tomorrowland MagicBand+ activation station, which looks like a traffic light. After tapping their MagicBand+ on the terminal, a nearby machine spat out an unusual souvenir: a speeding ticket! The Autopia MagicBand activation has tickets now! It cited the “Valued Magic Key Holder” for speeding, an offense that could eventually “result in loss of license” to drive on Autopia!Credit: DisneyThe Happiest Place on Earth is the only location where thousands of people would willingly line up to accept a speeding ticket! @ThemeParkIQ late shared this video of a lengthy queue for the Autopia MagicBand+ activation station:Lines are forming!Lines are forming! pic.twitter.com/K0NRswbpFp— Theme Park IQ (@ThemeParkIQ) July 17, 2025Haven’t had a chance to visit Disneyland Resort since May?
