Kurnool Municipal Corporation Commissioner P. Viswanatha on Thursday directed officials to focus on collecting the pending trade licence fees.Mr. Viswanatha, who took charge as the Commissioner recently, held a meeting with sanitation wing supervisory officials on Thursday (July 17). He wanted officials to collect the pending trade licence fees within four days and not hesitate to take punitive action against those who were not paying the fees for a long time.He asked them to take the help of Secretariat staff in realising the dues from traders. Simultaneously, the Commissioner asked officials to ensure that the shopkeepers arrange dust bins at their shops.He said that the sanitation should be properly maintained and asked the supervisory staff to bring qualitative change in four days.The Commissioner also directed the officials to ensure quality and tasty food is served at the five Anna Canteens in the Corporation limits. Later, Mr. Viswanatha conducted a surprise checks to inspect sanitation conditions at the Anna Canteens in Krishna Nagar, Kallur, Birla Compound, and Venkataramana Colony.Published - July 17, 2025 07:01 pm IST
