Shena Skies has opened up about the struggles of navigating a stalled music career, despite her undeniable talent and passion for the craft. Shena says she has faced more setbacks than success, but she hasn’t given up.In an interview on CBS FM, Shena revealed that at one point, her music career was picking up momentum when she was signed to a record label. However, things took an unexpected turn when the manager behind the label ran broke, leaving her without financial support to keep going.Producer Nessim told me I’m a quick writer, so he advised me to start selling some of my songs to get money. It worked for me because I didn’t have another investor.Since then, Shena has shifted her focus more towards songwriting, building a catalogue of over 1000 unreleased tracks. Shena Skies releases ‘Bird Man Beak Good’ EP with tracks on love and powerI can’t sing all of them myself, so it makes sense to just sell some. Some people even say maybe I’m bewitched but I’m a Muslim lady, and even if they bewitched me, I can’t go out looking for the victim.I feel it’s all God’s plan. If He wants me to stop here, then that’s fine. And if He wants me to prosper, it will happen.Shena says she continues to write and release music, even if only a few people listen.I keep working and releasing music even if few people understand or listen to it. @cbsfm Simanyi lwaki byenyimba zanga tezitambula kyoka nga bo bempandiikira ezaabwe zitambula. #tiktokuganda #CBSFmUpdates ♬ original sound – cbsfmug The post Some people say I’m bewitched – Shena Skies navigates music career struggles, stays hopeful appeared first on MBU.
