The dark ash plume from White Island volcano as seen via webcam at 10:20 local time this morning (image: GeoNet New Zealand)A minor explosive eruption appeared from the volcano this morning.At about 10:15 local time, a dark ash plume was observed on the local webcam that rose about 1 km above sea level. The ash column dissipated towards the north-east of the island.
