Oleksandr Usyk injury delay questioned by Joseph Parker’s team as footage of champion emerges

Footage of Oleksandr Usyk dancing has left Joseph Parker’s team questioning the authenticity of his injury claim.Usyk was ordered to face Parker next by the WBO after he defeated Daniel Dubois by brutal KO in July to become undisputed champion again.Parker’s team are concerned by videos of UsykBoth sides were given 30 days to reach an agreement before purse bids were called, but concerningly Parker’s team suggested no communication had been received.It initially sparked fears that Usyk could forego the fight with Parker, vacate the belt and pursue an alternative bout such as a trilogy with Tyson Fury.But it was then revealed that the Ukrainian had filed for an extension, which was granted by the governing body, as he recovers from injuries from his previous victory.This week however, footage has emerged of Usyk dancing in a nightclub alongside a singer on stage, which sent the boxing world initially into raptures as the hilarious videos went viral.But for Parker’s promoter David Higgins,, it was a totally different reaction entirely.Higgins said: “I haven’t actually seen the medical evidence but you would think that a serious injury would prevent that sort of activity.“As far as I’m concerned, things are exactly as they were. In boxing, nothing surprises me.“Joseph just wants to fight and so he’s waiting to fight.
