The Tamil Nadu government will provide Rs 17,000 crore in crop loans and Rs 3,000 crore for livestock development this year. Last year, Rs 15,062 crore in crop loans were disbursed to 17.37 lakh farmers, and Rs 2,645 crore in livestock loans reached 4.43 lakh beneficiaries. Farmers can now apply for crop loans online and receive them the same day.
