The Telangana Cyber Security Bureau (TGCSB) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, through its Institute of Data Science, to boost collaborative research, technology-led solutions and policy frameworks in tackling the growing menace of cyber crime, with a particular focus on financial fraud.The partnership will cover research and policy development on digital fraud prevention, cybercrime prosecution and regulatory mechanisms, while also focusing on studies into mule account networks, money laundering through digital platforms, deepfakes and financial manipulation.It will also involve building artificial intelligence-driven risk models to help financial institutions detect mule accounts and prevent digital transaction risks. In addition, it seeks to promote knowledge sharing through research publications, stakeholder dialogues and capacity building of law enforcement with immersive and gamified learning tools.Director General of Police Jitender said that combining ISB’s expertise in data science with TGCSB’s on-ground experience would help in creating innovative tools that not only respond to crime but also prevent it.
