Whether you are visiting Disneyland in California or Hong Kong Disneyland in China, you can bet your Mickey ears that you will see some big upgrades taking place across all of Disney’s parks. This is especially true at Walt Disney World, where a number of attractions and locations have closed or are scheduled to permanently shut down over the coming years.Changes are afoot across the globe, too, with Disneyland Paris undergoing a rather large renovation. Over the last few years, visitors to Disney’s European theme park resort have seen iconic locations transformed and key attractions closed for overhauls.Much of the work is being done at Disney Village, Disneyland Paris’s outdoor shopping and dining hub. However, changes have recently taken place inside Disneyland Park, with certain characters being removed and replaced. The change in scenery was first revealed by DLP Report, which shared photos of the new Moana characters on Twitter. For reasons, Moana-themed props have been installed in Adventureland, replacing Kaa and Zazu: For reasons, Moana-themed props have been installed in Adventureland, replacing Kaa and Zazu: pic.twitter.com/oLxLfDyspq— DLP Report (@DLPReport) August 28, 2025Related: Disneyland Cracks Down, Permanent New Security Measures Now in EffectHei Hei and Pua, two of Moana’s friends, have been installed in Adventureland, replacing Kaa and Zazu from The Lion King (1994).This change is curious for several reasons. First, rumors of a Moana attraction for the resort have circulated online for quite some time. Second, Disneyland Paris will soon welcome its own attraction based on The Lion King. The new ride, a water log flume adventure, was revealed last year, marking one of the most unexpected additions to Disney’s theme parks in recent years. Disneyland Paris has never had its own log flume attraction, and there has never been a Disney ride based on The Lion King. The new attraction will open in 2026 at Walt Disney Studios. However, this won’t be what the park is called.Next year, Walt Disney Studios will be renamed Disney Adventure World, a name that aims to give Disneyland Paris a lot more leeway regarding what it can include inside the park. The entire Disneyland Paris Resort is undergoing significant changes currently, with new lands, rides, attractions, and experiences all around the corner. Work started several years ago, though Disneyland Paris has really kicked things up a notch lately, especially with its newest expansion, World of Frozen.Set to be one of Disneyland Paris’ most immersive and fully realized lands yet, World of Frozen seeks to transport guests into Disney’s acclaimed Frozen franchise. When the ice-capped area opens in 2026, guests will be able to explore a variety of Frozen-related locations. World of Frozen will be located inside Disney Adventure World.Have you ever been to Disneyland Paris before?
