Micah Parsons’ brother laughs off stunning trade rumor fueled by Kay Adams linking Cowboys star with NFC rival

Wait 5 sec.

Micah Parsons’ contract dispute with the Dallas Cowboys is no nearer to being resolved. With the 2025 NFL season just over a week away from kicking off, Jerry Jones and the Cowboys find themselves in quite the predicament. It was less than a month ago when Parsons publicised that he had submitted a trade request directly to Dallas EVP Stephen Jones after extension negotiations came to an abrupt standstill. The star pass rusher was looking for a deal that would see him command one of the highest non-quarterback salaries in the NFL, but owner Jones has so far been reluctant to pay Parsons the big bucks he desires.Back in May it was reported that initial discussions were around the $200 million mark. However, the likes of TJ Watt and Myles Garrett have since signed extensions with the Pittsburgh Steelers and Cleveland Browns, respectively, which has entirely reset the market. Now, with Parsons signaling he wants out of America’s Team, the trade rumors just keep on rolling. Internet trolls are undefeated with many posting rumors linking the 25-year-old to any – and every – team around the league, but one particular account linking Parsons to the Green Bay Packers has caught the attention of the defensive edge’s brother, Terrence Parsons Jr.“The #Packers have a trade on the table with the #Cowboys for Micah Parsons with a new contract worth $45M per year #GoPackGo #DallasCowboys,” X (formerly Twitter) account @RickyScoops posted.Terrence quoted the tweet, to which he posted eight laughing face emojis, as well as attaching a GIF of Jones pointing and winking, which was captioned ‘The check’s in the mail, Jeb.’Though Jones has been adamant that he will not trade the three-time All-Pro, the rumors linking Parsons to Green Bay have been fuelled by former Packers fullback turned sideline analyst, John Kuhn. Taking to X, the two-time Super Bowl Champion posted just three words: ‘Micah Freaking Parsons,’ which has sent Packers social media into a frenzy. Parsons is holding out for a contract extensionGettyJerry Jones and Micah Parsons are at a stalemate over contract extensionsGettyHowever, it seems strange that Jones would consider dealing his star pass rusher to an NFC rival, if at all, but from the Packers’ point of view, it would make a huge amount of sense. Parsons played in 13 games for the Cowboys last season after dealing with a myriad of injury issues. Nonetheless, he tallied 43 total tackles alongside two forced fumbles, a defended pass and 12 sacks to bring his total number of career sacks to 52.5 in four seasons. But Kuhn isn’t the only one trying to manifest a Parsons move to Wisconsin. TV Host lobbying to make Green Bay an appealing destinationFan Duel TV host Kay Adams has tried to do her part to lure one of the league’s best defensive edges to Lambeau Field. “As fan GM, I’m trying to make Micah Parsons to Green Bay happen for yall obviously. Temperature is a lil strange,” Adams posted to X on Thursday. But other disgruntled stars including the Cincinnati Bengals‘ Trey Hendrickson and wide receiver Terry McLaurin of the Washington Commanders have resolved their respective contract disputes, and so there is optimism that Parsons could follow a similar route. According to NFL insider Adam Schefter, while the situation in Dallas is ‘bad’, there is a chance for the Cowboys and Parsons to ‘bridge their differences.’“I want to give you the good news and the bad news,” Schefter said on Tuesday morning’s episode of Get Up. “The good news is that we heard a lot of strong language surrounding Trey Hendrickson and Terry McLaurin about how far apart the sides were, how nobody was willing to budge, how this could go on and on. “And then lo and behold, less than two weeks before the opener, both players remarkably get deals done.“That brings us to Micah Parsons. Here’s a player who, again, sounds like he doesn’t want to be in Dallas. He’s issued the public trade request. The Dallas Cowboys have had zero negotiations with him since they felt like they had an agreement with him that he didn’t follow through on.“All we’ve heard is how bad it is. And I think it is bad. I’ve even heard that this situation is considered to be Jerry Jones’ Waterloo. He doesn’t want to lose it. But I would say this — we’ve seen other sides come through and get deals done. This one, again, feels a little bit different.”Whether Parsons will get his move away from Dallas, or force Jones into paying him the money he feels he deserves is unclear. But in the NFL, there is no smoke without fire, so he is certainly one to keep an eye on as the 2025 campaign fast approaches.
