The police have registered a case against a schoolteacher for allegedly sending a voice clip to parents asking them not to send Muslim students for Onam celebrations. The teacher, identified as Khadija, had circulated the voice clip to parents of the students at Sirajul Uloom English High School, Kadavallur. In the message she is heard saying that the festival is of ‘other religions’.The Kunnamkulam police have registered a case against her under Section 192 of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita (provocation with intent to cause a riot).Published - August 28, 2025 07:56 pm IST
