He also spoke about his interest in making different kinds of films.Speaking at the Manorama News Conclave, Jeetu said, “I don’t think that this film (Drishyam 3) is going to be a thriller. I think you will figure it out when you watch the film.” Sharing insights into the origin of Drishyam 3, the director said, “The first thing that came to me was the ending of Drishyam 3. I sort of went back from there and came up with the narrative later. That is going to be my movie despite what everyone expects.”Drishyam was a true global phenomenon, unlike anything else from Malayalam cinema, inspiring remakes in multiple languages — even a Mandarin version. The much-hyped sequel, made during the COVID-19 pandemic, also managed to surpass expectations.
