Sood, CEO of Navjivan Group and Chairperson of the National Unity & Security Council, addressed the audience at the event. Her objective was to motivate the youth towards nation building.Dr. Monica’s message to the young achievers in the hall was clear: India’s future rests on their shoulders. She pointed to the surge in entrepreneurship, with nearly 80,000 start-ups registered every year, a transformation she credited to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s call for Vocal for Local and Atmanirbhar Bharat. “You have opportunities our ancestors never had,” she told them. “Use these to innovate, to create, and to lift India’s economy to greater heights.”She also spoke of her own family’s journey, recalling how her grandfather, Dr. Amarnath Sood, founded an Ayurvedic institution in 1923 to export Indian medicines abroad. At a time when colonial rule sought to undermine Indian capability, he wanted to prove that India could stand tall before the world. “He refused to accept slavery and showed that Ayurveda and Indian innovation could heal and inspire globally,” she noted. Her aim was to ignite the spirit of self-reliance among the youth. The most heartfelt part of her speech came when she touched on mental health. With evident concern, she revealed a disturbing reality: “Every 13 minutes, one suicide takes place in India.” She urged her listeners to value human connection over digital substitutes. “Do not let social media become your best friend. Let humans be your best friends. Real relationships are what keep us alive, grounded, and strong.” Her words drew nods across the hall, striking a chord with many young faces in the audience. The event was graced by Shri K. C. Tyagi, former Rajya Sabha Member, and Shri Tirath Singh Rawat, former Chief Minister of Uttarakhand. Her Excellency Dr. Darbari, Honorary Consul of Montenegro, was also present.Dr Monica’s speech was not a lecture but a call to action. “Our ancestors gifted us freedom; it is now our responsibility to give the world a Viksit Bharat,” she concluded.normalnormalThe post Chandigarh’s Dr. Monica B.
