Samsung native Gallery app has a host of AI tools like Photo Assist and Object Eraser that you can use to edit images. The company has been working to bring AI transparency to these images, making it easier to spot changes made using these tools. A new feature called Content Credentials has been added to Gallery which will detail all of the AI edits made to the images using tools available in the app. Content Credentials makes it easy to spot AI edits to imagesSamsung already integrated the Content Credentials feature in the Galaxy S25 series. This standard is used by other leading companies like Adobe and Microsoft to make the authenticity of images more transparent. The update that's rolling out now brings this feature to all Samsung smartphones and tablets that are running Android 15 and One UI 7. It's available with the Gallery app version 15.6.04.2.If you now use the app to edit pictures using AI tools, a new button will be displayed alongside the “Contains AI-generated content” label. The button is the logo for Content Credentials. Tapping on it will bring up a summary of all of the AI edits that were made to the image. The summary will show the device that the image was edited with, the date and time they were made, and the AI tools that were used to make those edits.Since these details are baked right into the image's metadata, it becomes more difficult to tamper with, and thus ensures that the provenance of the image can be ensured. It's a vital feature in an era where AI-edited images are becoming increasingly more widespread. The post Samsung Gallery gets new feature for easy identification of AI edits appeared first on SamMobile.
