Google, on August 25, announced that NotebookLM’s Video Overviews feature, which uses AI to offer “a helpful visual aid to understand a complex concept.”Announced earlier this year at Google I/O, the tech giant says NotebookLM’s Video Overviews is now available in 80 languages. In a blog post, Google said that Audio Overviews will now be “more comprehensive and in-depth” and that non-English Audio Overviews will now “mirror the rich, detailed experience of the English version.”This means Audio Overviews will now move from short-form to full-length, delivering the same depth, structure and nuance as in English. The tech giant says it “creates visuals to help illustrate points while also pulling in images, diagrams, quotes and numbers” from sources. Users can also customise the output by letting users by mentioning topics they want to focus on, mentioning learning goals and describing the target audience.To change the output language for NotebookLM’s Video Overviews, simply navigate to the app settings, click on the “Output Language” option and choose your preferred language. These steps apply to changing the language of Audio Overviews as well.
