The Law and Parliamentary Affairs Department has created of 25 positions at different levelsIn a move to provide assistance to vulnerable communities and boost employment, the Tripura government on Friday announced to create different posts and fill the vacant posts across several departments, alongwith hiking different social security pensions provided by the state.Cabinet spokesperson and Transport Minister Sushanta Chowdhury told reporters that the government has decided to create 45 posts of Senior Manager (Electrical) under the Tripura State Electricity Corporation Limited (TSECL). The government has also approved to fill the posts of four Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) through direct recruitment for the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) project, the minister said.The Law and Parliamentary Affairs Department has created of 25 positions at different levels, he said.Chowdhury stated that three important decisions were taken during the Cabinet meeting held onWednesday under the Social Welfare and Social Education Department.He said the Cabinet decided to hike allowances of people having above 60 per cent intellectual disabilities from Rs 2,000 to Rs 5,000 every month under the Chief Minister’s Scheme for Pensions with intellectual disabilities.“They need to have their divyang certificates,” the minister said.Secondly, the Cabinet decided to enhance one-time financial grant under Mukhyamantri Antodaya Sraddhanjali Yojana from the existing Rs 2,000 to Rs 10,000 under the Social Welfare and Social Education department.Story continues below this ad“The decision was taken for the Antodaya families so that they could perform last rites of their dear ones,” said the minister.In addition, the government has also decided to provide Rs 50,000 as marriage assistance to the girls above 18 years old belonging to Antodoya family under the Mukhyamantri Kanya Vivah Yojana.Assembly session to be begin on September 19Chowdhury said the next Assembly session would begin from September 19.“A meeting of the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) would be held to decide on the duration of the Assembly session,” the minister said.Story continues below this adWhile maintaining that the state is committed to strengthening the administration and service delivery system, CM Saha wrote on X the key decisions taken at the Cabinet meeting is meant for the welfare of the state.Stay updated with the latest - Click here to follow us on Instagram© The Indian Express Pvt LtdTags:Tripura
