Indore (Rural) SP Yangchan Dolkar said the SIT “combed through over 200 hours of CCTV footage from more than 200 cameras” and tracked leads across Dhar, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Guna and Dewas districts.Police in Madhya Pradesh said they arrested two persons and solved the robbery case reported from the residence of retired High Court judge, Justice Ramesh Garg, in Indore.The incident took place on the day of Raksha Bandhan, when a spate of similar robberies was reported in nearby areas. The CCTV footage of the incident has since gone viral, and it showed masked men ransacking a room where Justice Garg’s son, Ritvik, slept. One of the masked men stood with an iron rod, ready to strike if he woke up. The men escaped with the stolen goods while the family slept in different rooms.A special investigation team (SIT) was constituted after two robberies occurred in the area.Indore (Rural) SP Yangchan Dolkar said the SIT “combed through over 200 hours of CCTV footage from more than 200 cameras” and tracked leads across Dhar, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Guna and Dewas districts.“On Friday night, we intercepted a vehicle near the bypass area and apprehended the prime suspects,” she said.During interrogation, the arrested accused named four other accomplices, who are now being searched for.According to police, the robbery at Justice Garg’s bungalow took place while a guard was present. The accused cut through a window grill to gain entry.
