If you didn't buy a Galaxy Z Fold 7 or Galaxy Z Flip 7, you're waiting like everyone else to get a taste of One UI 8. The two foldables ship with the latest software iteration out of the box while a beta program has been ongoing for eligible devices in select markets. Samsung has confirmed when it's going to start rolling out One UI 8 for eligible devices. A concrete date hasn't been provided as yet, but at least it has confirmed a general timeline. One UI 8 release on track for September 2025In an official blogpost detailing various aspects of One UI 8, Samsung has confirmed that it will start rolling out the stable version of the update from September. The process will begin with the Galaxy S25 series before being expanded to other One UI 8 eligible devices. Samsung has so far released five betas for the Galaxy S25 series. Recent reports have suggested that there's a sixth beta version in the pipeline as well that may be released in the new future. The appearance of a sixth beta had led some to believe that perhaps the process will take longer, as there was always the possibility that other builds may also be in the pipeline. This would have pushed the public release, which was already expected to happen in September, back even further. That doesn't appear to be the case, though. Despite the new beta build that's set to arrive soon, Samsung has reiterated its commitment to rolling out the stable One UI 8 update by next month. This means that it's only a matter of weeks before at least Galaxy S25 owners are able to jump on the public version of the update.
