Our 15th Anniversary is a celebration of the artists who have been with us since the beginning. So we had to catch up with the longtime artists who have helped define the gallery’s history. Almost a decade has passed since photographer Xan Padrón uploaded his first artwork to Saatchi Art. Since then, he has sold over 1,000 original prints through the gallery, showcased his photos from Los Angeles to London with The Other Art Fair, and widened his collector base globally.Listen in for Xan’s reflections on his time with the gallery and what he’s learned along the way as one of our legacy artists. How has Saatchi Art helped shape your path?“It was really helpful. . . .[There] was ‘a before’ and ‘an after’ I joined Saatchi Art. The curation team at Saatchi Art is always helping you grow as an artist, and through Saatchi [Art] you can reach wider audiences. It was definitely a game-changer for me.”https://canvas.saatchiart.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Xan-Padron_2.m4aWhat makes Saatchi Art different from other galleries you’ve worked with?“What makes Saatchi Art stand out from other galleries? It’s their ability to reach the global audience and to put our work in so many different parts of the world that would be impossible otherwise.”https://canvas.saatchiart.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Xan-Padron_6.m4aWhat is your favorite memory with the gallery? “My favorite memory with Saatchi Art is back in 2019, when I was in an art fair in LA, and somebody from Saatchi came with a catalog, and my work was on the cover of the catalog. I didn’t have a clue! It was incredible—the feeling of seeing your work in a catalog going to so many people.”https://canvas.saatchiart.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Xan-Padron_3.m4aWhat’s the most memorable interaction with a collector? A curator?“What I love about working with the curators is when they are already working with collectors, they have a relationship with them, and then they get me into the conversation. I really learn a lot during that process. And also, I love when collectors themselves. . .send me pictures of my works hanging in their homes. It’s a very special feeling.https://canvas.saatchiart.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Xan-Padron_4.m4aWhat’s next for you, and how do you see Saatchi Art being part of it?“I’m working on my ongoing project, Time Lapse. Also, new projects such as the Transit project. . .which is already on Saatchi [Art]. But not being a young artist anymore, I really value being independent, being able to be professionally independent, and through Saatchi [Art] I can do that. You control the process, and that’s really important for me.https://canvas.saatchiart.com/wp-content/uploads/2025/08/Xan-Padron_5.m4a Want to hear more from our bestselling artists?
