(Express Photo by Akash Patil)The Ramabai Apartment collapse in Virar late on Wednesday night brought unimaginable tragedy to the Jovils, who celebrated the first birthday of their baby girl just hours before a portion of the building fell, killing at least 15 people.At 7 pm on Wednesday night, Omkar Jovil and his wife, Aarohi, celebrated their daughter Utkarsha’s first birthday. Around 13 to 14 guests had attended the function, but they left shortly after the party concluded. Later at midnight, a portion of the building came crashing down, killing Aarohi and Utkarsha.While Omkar is feared dead, his name is not among the official list of the deceased. Omkar’s sister has survived the incident and is currently undergoing treatment at a nearby hospital.Around 30 people have been removed from the debris of the building at Vijay Nagar on Narangi Road in Virar (East).
