Samsung's upcoming XR headset and AR smart glasses are among some of its highly anticipated products. The company has already teased its Project Moohan XR headset and it's expected to be launched before the end of this year, some reports even claim it will be announced on September 29. Samsung is also believed to be working on two AR smart glasses that may be launched by early next year. You'd expect there to be an app for managing the settings on these devices when they're paired to a PC or smartphone, and its name may have just surfaced. Trademark application reveals what the app may be calledThe app may be called Glasses Manager. Samsung has filed for a trademark on the term “Glasses Manager” in South Korea this week under application number 4020250157259 accessible via KIPRIS.The trademark description mentions its applicability to “headset for virtual reality experience” and “software for setting/controlling/rating smart glasses and augmented reality headsets and virtual reality headsets.”The application for this trademark is pending but given that it was filed only recently, it should only be a matter of time before it's granted well before the launch of the actual products. It's important to note that companies file trademark listings all the time to effectively have dibs on terms they'd like to use. It doesn't necessarily mean that's what they end up using. Samsung has many such trademarks which have yet to be used, so it can't be said with absolute certainty that Glasses Manager will be what the app ends up being called. However, the descriptions are fairly spot on and suggest a very targeted use of the trademark.
