Bengaluru: More flights from KIA starting September 1

More flights and additional routes are in the offing from the Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in the coming days.Starting October 1, Akasa Air will offer daily direct flights connecting Bengaluru with Phuket.“Phuket offers a captivating blend of leisure, culture and adventure and remains a preferred holiday destination for Indians. The conveniently timed flights on the Bengaluru–Phuket route will provide travellers from Southern India with enhanced connectivity and choice of flying with India’s most dependable airline, while also fostering stronger cultural exchange and tourism between India and Thailand,” Akasa Air said.Flight QP 623 will depart Bengaluru 6.25 a.m. and arrive at Phuket at 12.40 p.m. and from Phuket flight QP 624 will depart at 1.40 p.m. and arrive in Bengaluru at 4.40 p.m.On the domestic front Air India Express is expanding its footprint with the addition of three new cities Ahmedabad, Chandigarh, and Dehradun to its network.“In the first phase, the airline will connect these cities with its Bengaluru hub from September 1, 2025. Flyers can book these flights at attractive introductory one-way fares starting from ₹4100,” the airline said.The airline will operate twice daily flights on the Ahmedabad - Bengaluru and Chandigarh – Bengaluru routes, and daily flights on the Dehradun – Bengaluru route.On the Ahmedabad-Bengaluru and Bengaluru-Ahmedabad routes one daily flight will start operations from September 1 and the second daily flight on these routes will operate from September 16.The two daily flights on the Chandigarh-Bengaluru and Bengaluru-Chandigarh will start from September 1 and Dehradun-Bengaluru and Bengaluru-Dehradun the flights will commence from September 15.Published - August 26, 2025 06:56 pm IST
