Sharnbasva University faculty member among 21 selected for national award

Shreedevi Kalyan of Sharnbasva University in Kalaburagi is among the 21 teachers in the country from higher education institutes and polytechnics selected by the Department of Higher Education in the Ministry of Education of the Central government to receive the national award given to teachers for 2025.Dr. Kalyan is among the three teachers from the State selected to receive the award which carries a cash award of ₹50,000 and a silver medal.The award will be presented to her at a function scheduled to be held at Vigyan Bhavan in New Delhi on September 5 this year.The other two teachers from the State who have been selected to receive the award include Shobha M.E. from Manipal Institute of Technology in Udupi and Srivaradhini Keshavamurthy Jha from the Indian Institute of Management in Bengaluru.Teachers who have been selected to receive the award are from premier higher education institutions, including IITs, IIMs, Central Universities, Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST), Tiruvananthapuram, and others.Dr. Kalyan is working as Assistant Professor in the Department of Post Graduate Studies and Research in Mathematics in the Faculty of Science and Technology in Sharnbasva University.Dr. Kalyan is one of the senior faculties of the university.
